HIDDEN CULTURES: MEETING THE FORGOTTEN MINORITIES OF IRAQ

The Hidden Cultures Project centers on a feature length documentary entitled The Garden of Sinjar, which will follow Iraqi human rights activists Saad Salloum and Mirza Dinnayi engaging with some of Iraq’s most remote ethno-religious communities. Visually stunning and intellectually stimulating, this film will celebrate Iraq’s diverse history with a powerful message of peace and coexistence.

While filming the documentary, HASAN’s field production team will also seek out unique foods, textiles, musical instruments, pottery and other traditionally produced items. By showcasing endemic traditions and stunning locations through a richly aesthetic lens, Hidden Cultures will present a unique opportunity for all of those who are Iraqi to redefine their own narrative and share their vast cultures with the world.

Filming begins in October. Become a producer today!
